FAIRTRADE, Fairtrade or Fair Trade

Fair Trade is not about being charitable, but about addressing issues of fairness and poverty. The rules of international trade are created by the World Trade Organisation (WTO), however it is the wealthier counties that have more infuluence. If international trade is not fair, how can we support more fairly traded good? See Fair Trade who decides

Fairtrade is a rapidly growing international movement for change that guarantees a better deal for disadvantaged farmers and workers in the developing world. You can identify a Fairtrade product because it carries the FAIRTRADE Mark.

Where can we support Fairtrade in Tower Hamlets?
Volunteers have surveyed local caterers. In January 2011, about 6% stocked at least two Fairtrade products including coffee. All major supermarkets sell Fairtrade items but only those with Fairtrade cafes are listed.
