Arnhem Wharf Animation

Working in collaboration with the Humanities Education Centre and the Tower Hamlets City Learning Centre pupils from Year five and six from Arnhem Wharf school on the Isle of Dogs produced animated films about issues that can effect the local and global environment. Amongst other things the class created films about dangerous traffic, over fishing, endangered species and dropping litter.

The films are silent and were filmed using stop motion animation. The backgrounds and characters were created by making collages. The pupils recycled old fabric, coloured paper, magazines and newspapers to create their images.
