Recorded in the Guinness Book of Records for 1998 under Largest constructions is El Desafio (The Challenge) recycling park. Sr Alonso began his fabulous, fantasy park in 1980. In the ten years until its opening he used 30 000 drink cans, 25 000 balls of thread, 5 000 plastic bottles, 5 000 metres of telephone cable12 000 oil bottle tops, 50 000 bottles of wine and beer in addition to discarded televisions, fridges, washing machines and water tanks.
