US could justify this position because it is a very powerful
country and other countries are afraid of it. This allows the
US to bully other countries and it allows itself to throw it's
weight around. The US has spent most of its money on weapons
and sponsoring terrorists countries that stand up to it. The
money is needed for peace keeping and humanitarian programmes
for torn down countries and less developed countries, so that
might be one reason why the US doesn't want to pay up."
