Graphics, Creating and Using Objects

A set of two sessions, with advice and alternative activities for teaching the use and creation of objects in graphic design.

‘Object Design’ is the use of simple software packages to create and manipulate objects, these can be used in art and craft design for patterns, or in creating pictures, or creating designs for buildings, schools, and parks.

The global dimension can focus on sustainability or children's rights and planning, with playgrounds, or schools, or houses or routes to travel to and from school. One activity even uses objects to design buses for the journey! Another use would be to explore identity and culture using flags and ‘heraldic’ shields.
