Below are some suggestions of things you can do to get active for yourself. 

  • What could you do to help change the world? find out more

  • Get active about reducing waste - find out more
  • Visit a related website to update your own knowledge
  • Write to your local MP about issues which concern you
  • Think of ways to support organisations that work to improve the standards of living of poor people around the world
  • Write to, or visit, your local supermarket or corner shop and discuss issues of fair trade with the manager
  • Write to the President of the World Bank and ask that the debts owed by poor countries be cancelled
  • Check the Pl@net.com website to find out how you can contact the richest people in the world.
  • Write letters to them to use some of their money to cancel the debts of the worlds poorest countries
  • Give a bar of fair trade chocolate to a friend
  • Find out how debt repayments makes countries destroy their environments
  • Tell your friends about the GF website
