Climate Change
Activities: Quick, little preparation required

What is the weather like?
As a class record the weather outside your classroom window every day for two weeks.  You can include the temperature on an outdoors thermometer, whether it is raining, snowing, sunny or windy and the types of clouds.

Weather Extremes
Look at images of extreme weather – such as hurricanes, typhoons, sandstorms, blizzards, extreme heat etc.  Start a discussion about how extreme weather makes learners feel and what their reactions are to the images.

Seasonal weather
What is the typical weather during spring, summer, autumn and winter?

Weather or Climate?
Research on the internet the difference between the terms weather and climate.  What are the key differences?

Postcards from a different climate
Ask learner to write an imaginary postcard home describing the climate from a country very different from our own.
