One
World, One Environment

This is an initiative of the Tower Hamlets Waste Education
Project as part of its drive to increase awareness around
environmental and waste minimisation issues.

Through
yearly exhibitions, it showcases the contribution of youngsters in
helping to make
Tower Hamlets a cleaner and safer place.
The exhibition brings together the work of many Schools in Tower Hamlets,
|

|
Students
carried out ‘photo’ audits of their local environment and
highlighted the need to recycle materials and cut down on waste through
film, painting and inventive installations.
|

|
 |
Joining
the talented young artists are the works of established local artists
who share a passion for environmental issues.
|
| |
|
Information
on recycling and the Council’s waste minimisation campaign was
available at the exhibition together with free workshops for schools,
colleges and community.
|

 |
Joanna
Lumley OBE,
well known for her commitment to environmental issues, opened the most
recent exhibition of
‘One World, One Environment’ at the Art Pavilion
in Mile End Park on March 10th 2006.
