The Tower Hamlets Waste Education Project works closely with local schools
and youth groups in order to design new methods of developing awareness
around sustainable waste management.

These included the development
of a new way of auditing the environment
using photography and/or film.

Here are some examples:

   


In November 2007,
we concluded an after school project,
"Dance for the Environment"
with primary pupils at the Ben Jonson School.


The pupils explored waste, recycling and litter
through movement, theatre, art and visits to the waste transfer station in Tower Hamlets.

Spitafield Young Farmers Club

At the Spitalfields Young Farmer’s Club, youngsters aged between eight and thirteen, care for the animals on the Spitalfields Farm near Brick Lane and learn about composting, recycling, the environment and sustainable living.
