The Rocket Trust |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| The Rocket Trust was established
in 1998 to support the work of CSKS. The Rocket Trust was established by friends and colleagues of Shah who had visited the project and saw the need for a support group from the UK to maintain the youth work link between London and Dhaka and to share good practice between both groups, and to be responsible for raising some funds, and to support other grant applications. The name the Rocket Trust came about because of the well-known paddle-steamer
boat called the Rocket which plies between Khulna and Dhaka through the
Sunderbans in Bangladesh bringing with it many children from rural areas
who are seeking a new life on the streets of busy Dhaka. Contact: |
